Community members gathered at a CIAHT anti-trafficking sensitization event

Community programme

Taking the message to where it matters most

CIAHT carries out sustained anti-human-trafficking campaigns in communities and schools across the Northern Region of Ghana. Through community durbars, school visits and grassroots sensitization, we educate men, women and children on the harmful effects of child trafficking and how to recognize and resist the tactics of traffickers.

These campaigns have sensitized more than 20,000 people in sixty communities, and led to the formation of 48 anti-human-trafficking clubs in schools — each made up of twenty girls and ten boys, totalling 1,440 young members who champion child protection among their peers.
